The company believes that climate change is one of the most serious challenges facing society, and that every company has a important role to play in tackling it.
O2 are in the process of forming the Energy Saver Fund that will help to turn communities green by ensuring they use less energy, pollute less, create less waste and reduce contribution to climate change. The fund will be administered by the Energy Saving Trust, a non-profit body that help fights climate change and promotes energy saving and the use of renewable energy. |
O2 are currently developing lots of different ways to try and reduce the energy we use. Without knowing it we are all probably helping to to save resources already. Email, texting and working from home - all help cut down the unnecessary travel and reduce the CO2 emissions. O2's goal is to minimise their impact on the environment. The areas they are focusing on include reducing the energy we use, sourcing more of our energy from renewable sources and investing in renewable energy/efficiency projects beyond 02 UK.
