Introduced to many models in the BMW range across the past year, BMW EfficientDynamics technologies combine to lower CO2 emissions and improve fuel economy while enhancing performance. The technologies include auto start-stop, brake energy regeneration, active aerodynamics, electric power steering, optimum gear shift indicator and low rolling resistance tyres.

The innovative technologies have received acclaim from independent experts in the fleet industry, resulting in high profile awards from the international and specialist press. These awards include the 2008 Green Award from What Car?, and the 2008 Environmental Award from Fleet News.

The 118d, BMW's most efficient engine, has CO2 emissions of only 119g/km meaning it falls into the new 13% BIK tax band from April 2008, but with 143hp it does not compromise on performance.
